Imperial College Healthcare refers to the hospitals under Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, affiliated with Imperial College London. The Trust consists of five hospitals: St Mary’s Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea Hospital, and Western Eye Hospital.

2. Charing Cross Hospital

Charing Cross Hospital is a leading center for cancer care, neurosciences, neurorehabilitation, complex surgery, elective orthopedics, urology, and vascular disease. Its West London Neuroscience Centre provides high-quality care for neurological conditions.

Its specialist intensive care unit, also known as ICU, supports patients with severe brain injuries from emergency treatment through rehabilitation in a seamless pathway. 4. Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea Hospital

Consultant-led maternity care means that pregnancy, delivery, and postnatal follow-up are all led by a designated consultant. The hospital recommends this option for high-risk mothers or mothers who have previously experienced pregnancy complications.

For mothers expecting a normal vaginal delivery, whether it is their first child or not, midwife-led maternity care may be recommended. Mothers first meet the full midwifery team, who can provide guidance whenever support is needed. During delivery, one midwife will accompany the mother throughout the entire birth process and continue to provide support in the following weeks.
