The University of Chicago Medical Center is one of the leading academic medical institutions in the United States. Founded in 1927, the University of Chicago Medical Center, together with the Pritzker School of Medicine and the Biological Sciences Division of the University of Chicago, forms the University of Chicago Medicine health system, integrating research, education, and clinical care.
The medical center has 1,300 attending physicians, more than 800 of whom hold faculty appointments at the Pritzker School of Medicine. The Medical Choice of Lang Ping, Head Coach of the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team
In 2007, Lang Ping, now head coach of the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team, needed to undergo hip replacement surgery due to a knee injury. She placed her trust in Dr. Sherwin Ho, the team physician of the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team and a sports medicine specialist from the University of Chicago Medical Center.
Dr. Ho recommended Dr. Hue Luu to Lang Ping. Dr. Luu is another orthopedic specialist at the University of Chicago Medical Center who performs several hundred joint replacement surgeries each year.
